TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
This website is operated by Carlos Reina Silvestre, trading as Carlos Reina Photography, a sole-trader photography business based in St Bees, West Cumbria, United Kingdom.
These terms apply to your use of this website.
They also provide general information about enquiries and photography services, but they do not replace any quotation, booking confirmation, licence or other written agreement specifically agreed for a photography assignment.
Where project-specific written terms conflict with these general website terms, the project-specific terms will apply to that assignment.

2. USING THIS WEBSITE
You may use this website for lawful purposes, including viewing photography, learning about services, contacting Carlos Reina Photography and accessing linked client or event galleries where available.
You must not:
- attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website
- use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted areas
- copy, extract or systematically reproduce website content without permission
- use photographs or other creative work from this website without the appropriate permission or licence
3. WEBSITE INFORMATION
I aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date.
Photography services, availability, examples of work and other information may change from time to time.
Content on the website is provided for general information and does not, by itself, constitute a binding quotation or guarantee of availability.
If you require specific information about a project, please contact Carlos Reina Photography directly.
4. ENQUIRIES AND QUOTATIONS
Submitting an enquiry through this website, email, telephone, social media or another contact method does not automatically create a booking.
A photography assignment is confirmed only when the relevant booking requirements communicated for that project have been completed.
A quotation may specify matters including:
- scope of photography
- date and location
- hours or level of coverage
- price
- travel costs
- delivery
- image licensing
- payment arrangements
- cancellation or rescheduling terms
Any quotation is based on the information available when it is prepared.
If the scope of a project changes, the price, timing or other terms may also need to change.
5. PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
Carlos Reina Photography provides professional photography services which may include commercial photography, events, sport and action photography, portraits and headshots, community projects and other commissioned work.
The exact service being provided will be defined by the relevant quotation, booking confirmation or written agreement.
Photography services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Creative photography involves professional judgement. Exact replication of another photographer's work, a reference image, a particular weather condition or an uncontrolled live moment cannot be guaranteed.
6. DELIVERY AND EDITING
The number, type and delivery method of photographs will depend on the assignment.
Unless otherwise agreed, delivered images will normally consist of selected and professionally processed photographs rather than every image captured during the shoot.
Images may be supplied through an online gallery, cloud delivery service or another agreed method.
Any estimated delivery period may depend on the size and complexity of the assignment.
Where a specific delivery deadline is essential, this should be agreed before the assignment.
Additional or specialist retouching outside the agreed scope may be chargeable where agreed with the client.
7. COPYRIGHT
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, copyright in photographs created by Carlos Reina Photography remains with Carlos Reina Silvestre / Carlos Reina Photography.
Purchasing photography services or receiving image files does not automatically transfer copyright ownership.
Clients receive the usage rights or licence agreed for their assignment.
Photographs must not be:
- sold to third parties
- materially altered in a misleading way
- supplied for uses outside the agreed licence
- presented as another photographer's work
unless appropriate permission has been obtained.
8. PORTFOLIO AND PROMOTIONAL USE
9. CLIENT AND EVENT GALLERIES
Some assignments are delivered through online client or event galleries.
A private gallery, password or access link is intended only for the people authorised to use it.
Users should not deliberately share restricted gallery access with unauthorised people.
Different galleries may have their own download, purchase or access arrangements depending on the assignment.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
This website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, social networks, payment services or gallery systems.
These external services operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Carlos Reina Photography is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.
11. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
I aim to keep the website available and working correctly, but continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, hosting problems or circumstances outside my reasonable control.
12. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
Your privacy is important. Personal information collected through this website or booking process is handled according to my Privacy Policy.
I only collect data necessary to provide photography services and maintain business records. I do not sell your personal data to third parties.
12. LIABILITY
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Carlos Reina Photography is not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside reasonable control where appropriate steps have been taken to provide the agreed service.
Any specific liability provisions relating to a photography assignment may be contained in the written terms agreed for that project.
13. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
Cancellation and rescheduling arrangements may vary depending on the photography assignment.
Any applicable cancellation fee, deposit treatment, notice period or rescheduling arrangement should be stated in the quotation, booking confirmation or written terms supplied for that project.
Any cancellation provisions are intended to reflect reasonable losses, committed time and costs arising from the booking.
Nothing in these website terms removes any statutory cancellation, refund or other rights that apply by law.
14. EVENTS OUTSIDE REASONABLE CONTROL
Occasionally an assignment may be affected by circumstances outside reasonable control, such as severe weather, travel disruption, venue restrictions, illness, safety concerns or other unexpected events.
Where this happens, I will aim to communicate with the client as soon as reasonably possible and work towards a fair practical solution, which may include rescheduling or another agreed arrangement depending on the circumstances.
15. PRIVACY AND COOKIES
16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website, services or legal requirements.
The current version will always be published on this page.
Changes to these website terms do not retrospectively replace specific written terms already agreed for an existing photography assignment unless both parties agree otherwise or the law requires it.
